Conference report on In Harkness’ London’ now available

In November 2014, Birkbeck hosted a one day symposium on the life and work of Margaret Harkness. Supported by the British Association for Victorian Studies, the event brought together a diverse range of papers which considered Harkness’ work in the context of London’s Victorian slums as well as the lives, ideas and priorities of marginalised groups during the period, with speakers including Professor Richard Dennis and Dr. Tabitha Sparks  (pictured). We are pleased to announce that a report of the event, by Rosalyn Buckland (King’s) and Kate Taylor (Birkbeck) is now available on the Journal of Victorian Culture’s blog.
