Professor Frederick Burwick (UCLA) will give a talk on ‘The Staging of Byron’s Corsairs’. Professor Burwick has recently published British Pirates in Print and Performance (Palgrave, 2015) and will discuss the literary, social and political dimensions of piracy on the nineteenth-century stage.
